Embraer Phenom 100E
The single-pilot, twin-engine Embraer Phenom 100E, which the company began delivering two years ago, is an enhanced and more efficient version of its phenomenally successful predecessor, the Phenom 100. Embraer delivered about 300 examples of the Phenom 100 from 2009 to 2014.
For the new version, the company tweaked the brakes and added spoilers to improve landing performance, but kept the roomy cabin and competitive operating costs. Embraer has also made several formerly optional features standard equipment, including an enhanced takeoff package with extra thrust reserve, a 330-pound increase in useful load, and synthetic vision for the cockpit. The Phenom 100E’s starting price is $4.2 million.
Embraer is based in Brazil, but the Phenom 100E is assembled in Melbourne, Fla., where clients can visit the design center and choose from 11 new interior color schemes. It has a range of 1,355 miles and a maximum cruising speed of 447 mph. Five passengers can travel in the cabin, which offers a new refreshment center and optional swiveling seats.
